As explained by the industrial director of the arms complex "Rostec" Bekhan Ozdoev, the feedback received will help to refine the weapon.
It is specified that the " Asp " is being developed in three versions: standard, lightweight and serial. The standard one will be equipped with a magazine for 22 rounds, the lightweight one - for 18 rounds. The lightweight " Asp " will receive mounts for the collimator sight, and the production version is equipped with a Picatinny rail mount system for sights and additional equipment.
All modifications will receive special pads on the handle to fit the gun to the individual grip of the shooter.
The RG120-1 modification has no external mechanical fuses, all fuses are internal. This allows you to instantly remove the weapon from the holster, the saved fractions of seconds work on the result of the athlete.
Editor-in-chief of the magazine "Kalibr", weapons expert Alexander Kudryashov on the air of radio Sputnik appreciated the novelty.
Kudryashov also noted that sports modifications of small arms have noticeable differences from combat ones. In his opinion, the new pistol can be pre-compared with the corresponding model of the Austrian Glock pistol, known for its rate of fire.
