The Network has published a video showing for the first time the use of the Russian system "Illuminator" in Syria against militants of illegal armed groups.
Unique shots demonstrate the effective "highlighting" of enemy objects, as a result of which guided ammunition accurately hit enemy targets. As a result of the use of the "Illuminator", the terrorists lost their arsenals, field headquarters and field shelters.
For the first time, the Russian system was used in Syria in 2017, as evidenced by the credits of the video. Judging by the fact that in some cases only the enemy's manpower was affected, while the projectile left a neat hole in the wall of the building, and in others - entire objects were destroyed, the Russian military used various types of ammunition.
It is worth noting that until recently, the information that the latest laser target designation system "Illuminator" was used in Syria was not advertised. Obviously, the Russian military decided that it was time to reveal the "canopy of mystery", demonstrating its capabilities, writes Free News.
