However, in this case, a long-lasting thermal burn is formed. Unlike the existing analogues, the invention of the research Institute "Polyus" removes the polyp by laser radiation directed towards the center of the loop. The wound does not bleed and heals quickly. Thus, the product created by specialists of the Moscow Institute has increased injury safety, the report says.
According to the General Director of the research Institute "Polyus" Evgeny Kuznetsov, the creation of a laser scalpel for polypectomy was a response to a direct request from the medical community.
