TSAMTO, November 30. Modern 7.62 and 5.45 mm AK-12 submachine guns continue to be delivered to ground forces units. Since the beginning of the year, new submachine guns have been delivered to the combined arms unit of the VVO and to the special purpose unit of the ZVO.
According to the Department of information and mass communications of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation, the machine introduced a number of design features that allowed to achieve greater combat effectiveness of weapons, versatility, accuracy and accuracy of fire. The units receive a sample with firing modes: single shots, automatic fire, a queue with a cut-off of two shots. In addition, the machine has a" hung " forearm that protects the barrel from external loads, a removable high-performance muzzle brake compensator, the ability to install a device for low-noise and flameless shooting, a folding, length-adjustable buttstock, a Picatinny rail on the receiver cover for installing collimator, optical and night sights, a mechanical sighting device with a dioptric device. Also, the machine is equipped with a 40 mm grenade launcher.
The AK-12 Kalashnikov assault rifle is an individual weapon of the personnel of combined arms and other units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
