More than 130 military personnel with 30 units of military equipment took part in the Romanian-American rapid Falcon exercise on November 19. On Wednesday, November 25, reports TASS with reference to the Ministry of national defense of Romania.
It is specified that the exercises were held at the Mikhail kogelniceanu base and at the Kapu Midia training ground in Constanta County, which are located in the South-East of Romania.
According to the defense Ministry, the exercises were held in order to "develop and strengthen cooperation between the Romanian and US ground forces."
The US used two mobile himars missile systems of the 41st land artillery brigade from the Grafenwehr garrison (Germany), and the Romanian ground forces used three Romanian larom multiple rocket launchers OF the 8th LAROM BRIGADE "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" from Fokshan.
At the same time, it is also emphasized that the exercise was necessary to "develop a partnership between two large artillery units", since the 8th LAROM brigade "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" will be equipped with HIMARS systems starting in 2021.
