TSAMTO, November 23. In connection with the re-equipment of the strategic missile forces, two new specialties were opened at the Peter the Great Military Academy.
According to the Department of information and mass communications of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation, these are "Operation of control systems and test-launching equipment for fixed-based strategic missiles" and "Application and operation of automated control systems for stationary missile systems".
In addition, this academic year the Academy has opened training for students in the specialty "management of tests of weapons and military equipment at the ranges of complexes".
Currently, the Academy and its branch provide training in 36 specialties of higher and secondary professional education.
In the context of innovative development, the latest technical ideas of the XXI century have been successfully implemented for modern missile systems. In view of this, additions and changes have been made to the training programs to train specialists who will work directly with these latest complexes.
Today, the Academy is one of the leading higher military educational institutions in Russia. On its basis, a modern educational and scientific cluster has been created for training officers and command and engineering profiles. Training is conducted in five faculties, which include 25 departments.
On December 7, 2020, the military Academy of the strategic missile forces will celebrate the 200th anniversary of its formation.
