MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. The company "Kosmocar" plans to begin testing the ignition system of the engine next week. This was reported TASS the General Director of the company Pavel Pushkin.

"We had a manufacturing defect in the ignition system itself. We redid the CD (design documentation-approx. TASS), made new samples, is now being finalized. If everything works out, then next week we can start testing, " said Pushkin.

According to the company's CEO, there are still questions about the production of parts, so the test period may shift. "We constantly catch marriage. A lot of effort was spent, a lot of parts were re-manufactured. The manufacturing quality of our contractors is not very good, " he explained, adding that the company also changed contractors.

"Kosmocar" plans within months to begin pressure testing the nozzle head of the engine. After their completion, the company will start 3D printing the engine, the design documentation for it has already been developed.

In late February, Pushkin told TASS that tests of the ignition system should take place in the next two months. At the end of may, the company's CEO announced the postponement of the test due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Kosmocar" developing a reusable system for suborbital tourist flights. It is assumed that during the 15-minute flight, the ship will rise 200 km above The earth's surface, which will allow its crew members to be considered as having been in space. Its lower limit, as defined by the International aviation Federation, is at an altitude of more than 100 km. To launch its ships, the company is going to build its own spaceport in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Autonomous flights of the capsule are planned in 2023, together with the rocket - in 2024, Autonomous tests of the rocket - in 2024, complex - in late 2024-early 2025.
