"We had a manufacturing defect in the ignition system itself. We redid the CD (design documentation-approx. TASS), made new samples, is now being finalized. If everything works out, then next week we can start testing, " said Pushkin.

"Kosmocar" plans within months to begin pressure testing the nozzle head of the engine. After their completion, the company will start 3D printing the engine, the design documentation for it has already been developed.
In late February, Pushkin told TASS that tests of the ignition system should take place in the next two months. At the end of may, the company's CEO announced the postponement of the test due to the coronavirus pandemic.
