Moscow. November 18. INTERFAX-Russian space systems is developing a satellite grouping management system based on artificial intelligence, the holding's press service reported.
"Russian space systems holding is developing a self-regulating technology for controlling multi-satellite orbital groupings with elements of artificial intelligence and minimal human involvement. It will allow in the future to automate the management of satellite groups of thousands of spacecraft, " the press service reported.
As noted in the report, for the current space group, the ground-based automated complex conducts up to 2 thousand control sessions every day. At the same time, today's technologies involve servicing each device separately. However, this technology has its limits and further increase in the grouping "creates the probability of collapse".
"A special feature of the new technology will be the transition from the point control of individual spacecraft used today to the control of the system effect of the entire orbital group," the press service stressed.
