TEL AVIV, Nov 18-RIA Novosti. The Israeli army struck eight targets belonging to both Iranian and Syrian forces in the SAR after explosive devices were defused on the border with Syria a day earlier, Israel defense forces spokesman Yonatan Conricus said.
"Yesterday, we found another cluster of explosive devices in the Golan heights, inside Israeli territory. This is another attempt by the Iranian al-Quds forces. The actual placement of the explosive devices was made by the Syrians, but the instructions and control were made by the Iranian al-Quds forces, " Conricus said during a briefing. He noted that the explosive devices were placed near the place where a similar attempt was made in August.
Conicus stressed that "Israel launched strikes on military targets belonging to forces as "al-Quds" and the Syrian armed forces inside Syria".
Conricus also said that he had no information whether the Russian side was notified this time, but Israel "always informs Russian troops, the security of Russian soldiers in Syria is of great importance for the Israel defense forces."
A day earlier, the army reported that Israeli soldiers defused explosive devices on the border with Syria on the southern side of the Golan heights.
