TSAMTO, October 23. Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation) will present for the first time the latest concept of protecting the population, troops and facilities from the Antidron Dome UAVs during the third Russia-Africa summit, which will be held in Moscow's Gostiny Dvor on October 28-29.
The anti-drone Dome is designed to protect the public, as well as strategic, infrastructural facilities, bridges, buildings, fuel and energy complex enterprises and military locations from UAV attacks.
Protection options for transport convoys and vehicles carrying specially protected persons or cargo are also offered.
The project was developed by Rosoboronexport specialists together with leading Russian manufacturers of anti-unmanned aerial vehicles and representatives of specialized law enforcement agencies. It is based on the practical experience gained in countering UAVs during military and anti-terrorist operations in recent years.
"Protecting critical infrastructure from unmanned aerial vehicles has now become the foundation of national and economic security, and the foundation for further technological development. The competent construction and creation of such a system makes a significant contribution to confirming the effectiveness of public administration and business, preserving logistics chains and signaling to investors about the security of their investments. Rosoboronexport offers the construction of reliable object protection against UAVs, adaptable to a specific partner and a specific facility. All the tools and solutions used in it have proven their effectiveness in real conditions," said Alexander Mikheev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Engineering Union and Director General of Rosoboronexport.
The project is a layered system consisting of means of reconnaissance of airspace, fire destruction and electronic suppression of UAVs, a geoinformation system based on an automated control system, as well as engineering (physical) protection.
During the third Russia-Africa summit, Rosoboronexport will present to its partners the concept itself, as well as solutions designed to build an "Anti-drone Dome."
These include such means of physical destruction of UAVs as the Pantsir-SMD-E High-precision air defense systems and Pantsir-S1M air defense systems developed by the holding, the Verba MANPADS and the TKB-1167 air target destruction system, as well as the Citadel anti-aircraft artillery complex with programmable detonation ammunition created by Rostec State Corporation.
In the very near future, the range of means of physical impact on UAVs will be replenished with mass-produced laser systems and electromagnetic pulse complexes that are at the stage of completing tests.
The company also presents detection and electronic suppression systems for control and navigation channels of Silok, Repellent Patrol, Sky-Hunter 4PC and Radescan drones in the Antidron version.
The "Antidron dome" is a complex system, the composition and functionality of which is formed for a specific customer, taking into account the characteristics of the protected object.
All its components are designed and manufactured at Russian enterprises.
