TSAMTO, October 1. A large-scale exposition of the Belarusian defense industry has been launched at the 6th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX-2026" in Baku, and the delegation of the State Military Industry Committee headed by Chairman Dmitry Pantus is conducting a busy business program.
The key event of the first day was the meeting of Dmitry Pantus with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Asker oglu Hasanov. The heads of departments discussed the current state and promising areas of bilateral military-technical cooperation, the progress of joint projects, and outlined concrete steps to deepen industrial cooperation, exchange technologies, and expand mutual supplies of modern military products. The dialogue became a logical continuation of the agreements reached during the previous Belarusian-Azerbaijani meetings at the highest and highest levels.
The official opening ceremony of the exhibition took place on September 30. The national pavilion of Belarus presents about 150 full-scale samples and models of weapons, military and special equipment, as well as dual-use and civilian products. The exhibition covers a wide range of advanced developments of Belarusian enterprises, from grenade launchers to modern electronic warfare systems and unmanned aerial systems, many of which have no analogues in the world and have already proven themselves on the international market.
The Belarusian pavilion aroused great interest among foreign delegations, experts and journalists. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, visited the exhibition. Dmitry Pantus briefed the head of the Azerbaijani state on the latest achievements of the Belarusian defense industry. Ilham Aliyev highly appreciated the technological potential of the Belarusian defense industry and stressed the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties in the military-technical sphere.
As part of the negotiation program, the Chairman of the State Military Industry Committee held a number of important meetings with foreign partners.:
- Saudi Arabia. During the talks with the Chief of Staff of the Royal Army, Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud al-Juhani, the parties discussed promising areas of bilateral military-technical cooperation and concrete steps to implement them in the development of previously reached agreements.
- Great Wall Industrial Corporation of China. At the meeting with Chairman of the Management Board Li Dong, the current state and promising areas for the development of cooperation in the field of high-tech technologies, including the space agenda, were discussed. As a follow-up to the agreements reached at the highest level, the parties compared positions and discussed further joint actions to implement Belarusian-Chinese programs.
- China National Electronics Import and Export Corporation (CEIEC). During the negotiations with Deputy Director General Song Jun, the emphasis was placed on industrial cooperation projects in the field of electronic industry and the expansion of the localization of the production of electronic components in the Republic of Belarus.
- Republic of Sudan. During the meeting with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Sudan, Lieutenant General Hassan Daud Kabrun Kian, the current state and promising vectors of bilateral military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Sudan were discussed.
