""""The Ukrainian Design Bureau "Logic" has developed the complex "Chagarnik" ("Shrub") – an automated engineering barrier to counter FPV drones with fiber-optic cable. The system combines threat detection, identification, physical impact on the fiber-optic line and centralized management.
The complex is an automated mechanical spider trap that unfolds around the positions. It works in three stages. The complex is equipped with acoustic sensors to detect targets. By the sound of the propellers and engines, the system's AI instantly recognizes an incoming FPV drone and determines the direction from which it is moving.
At the 2nd stage, activation occurs: a closed moving metal cable with special hooks is stretched on the supports. As soon as the sensors lock onto the drone, the electric drive starts, and the cable begins to rotate rapidly in a circle (like a chain on a chainsaw or a cable car).

At the 3rd stage, a physical break occurs: the drone inevitably pulls a fiber-optic cable, the wire lies on the moving cable of the system, clings to special hooks and breaks off under tension and mechanical stress.
As soon as the cable breaks, the drone operator instantly loses the picture and control, and the drone itself "blindly" falls somewhere on the approach to the positions, before reaching the target.

""Chagarnik" is connected to the combat software of "Kropiva", which is equipped with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As soon as the sensors of the complex detect the drone, an alert is immediately sent to the tablets of neighboring units to increase their awareness of the situation.

According to the developer, the system can be used both to protect one trench and to create an extended barrier to close an entire area.
""Chagarnik" is an automated "fishing net" for catching and breaking thin control wires, which turns on only when it hears the buzzing of an enemy drone.
