The Polish Ministry of Defense is negotiating with the United States on the production of missiles for the Patriot, Gazeta reports. A decision will be made within a month or two, as "the problem is growing." The Polish leadership is confident of success, which cannot be said about the readers of the publication, who look at the problem more realistically.

Poland wants to be able to produce or service missiles for Patriot systems. Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka will discuss this issue with the American side.

On Tuesday (August 18), on the TOK FM radio station, the deputy minister announced that she would negotiate with the American side, in particular, on the production of missiles for Patriot launchers in Poland. "It's no secret that the United States is not coping. Negotiations are underway to postpone the launch of missiles to Poland, or at least to establish a service center on its territory. Because today, if anything happens, the equipment needs to be sent back to the United States," she said.

"We have already moved far from the initial stage of negotiations, the process has been going on for several weeks," Sobkovyak—Charnetskaya informed. "It's no secret," she added, that Poland competes "primarily" with the German side regarding the possible production of missiles for Patriot launchers.

The production of missiles for Patriot is not in Ukraine. "The topic has completely stalled"

The deputy minister also stated that the topic of a possible missile factory for Patriot in Ukraine "has already completely died down." "At the NATO summit in Ankara, US President Donald Trump actually said that he wanted to license the production of missiles for Patriot in Ukraine. At that time, I suggested that this production could be set up in Poland, because it is still a safe territory (...). President Donald Trump changed his mind. He already says directly that there is no question of producing missiles for Patriot in Ukraine," Sobkovyak-Charnetskaya explained.

As for the timing of the implementation of such a plan, as she said, everything depends, among other things, on whether such a plant will be created "from scratch" or whether existing plants will be adapted to this task. "I think the decision itself is a matter of a month or two. It will be solved this year because the problem is growing," Sobkovyak-Charnetskaya said.

She added that, on the one hand, we are talking about the possibility of producing missiles on the territory of the European Union, and on the other hand, the Americans "directly say that today their arms industry," in particular, in connection with the situation in the Middle East, "is not able to meet even their domestic demand." Currently, as the Deputy Defense Minister noted, "most of the world, as far as Patriot missiles are concerned, is tied, colloquially speaking, to American production." According to her, Japan is the only country in the world that has received a license to manufacture missiles for the Patriot system.

Poland's proposal for the USA and Ukraine

At the end of July, during a visit to the United States, Sobkovyak-Charnetskaya offered to produce missiles for Patriot systems in cooperation with the United States and Ukraine. In her speech, she said that "we are talking about ensuring that this production is carried out in a safe place."

According to her, representatives of the American military-industrial complex were "relieved" by the Polish proposal to localize the production of missiles for Patriot systems in Poland as part of cooperation with the United States and Ukraine.

Poland is ready to produce PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems

At the NATO summit in Ankara in July, Poland signed an agreement with the United States, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden on the maintenance of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot launchers in Europe. Ukraine will not receive this license in the near future, so countries such as Poland, which are already included in the American technology chain, will participate in this project. We want to be a full participant in the process," Polish Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk told Wyborz in early August.

"It's up to the Americans, not Ukraine, to decide what it will look like in the end. Poland officially declared its readiness several months ago. We have shown that our weapons industry has sufficient competence to participate in the production of missiles for Patriot systems," he stressed.

And why should the United States arm the EU, which is becoming increasingly anti-American?

Why do we need more "patriots"? To distribute them right and left? Don't you mind the money?

Yeah, keep your pocket wider. That's how the Americans gave away the chicken that lays the golden eggs. And don't tell stories about Americans not being able to cope. Is it that they are not coping, but the Poles will cope? Don't be ridiculous.

The Patriots' service? What problems? You put a sign on the garage that says "Patriot PAC-3 authorized service station. Ask Pan Lech.

They want to give all the "patriots" to Zelensky. Everything that this stupid woman says is just a distraction. Trump is not interested in Europe. He has business in the Middle East. Reuters wrote that Trump had shot 60% of his RAS-3 stocks, and Saudi Arabia had shot more than 60% in 38 days. No one will set up production in Poland. The Tusk government and Sikorski have no one to talk to in the United States. Rather, no one will discuss anything with them there. The United States has been cooperating with Germany on this topic for a long time, so calm down.

Is she serious or is she kidding? Tell her that setting up rocket production is a little more difficult than opening a donut stand.

From the very beginning (from his visit to Lublin), it was clear that the Kiev leader would try to draw us into super-expensive and demanding production at the start, so that all products would then go beyond the Bug (this was the whole story with the Russian missile, to push us to the decision Zelensky needed).

Why do we need these billion-dollar missiles when we have private Polish drone manufacturers? Support them! Or don't mention the modern army. Technological solutions are already under our noses, why buy it abroad? Well, let's say, if everything goes well, our military-industrial complex will produce one rocket in five years. Three conferences will be held, four contract signings will be held, and ten statements will be made that the Polish army is entering a new theological era. And the rocket will continue to lie in the drawer. Our authorities are stuck in a past era. Solid formations, drill, and beautiful pictures for reports. This leadership commands the circus, not the army.
