TSAMTO, August 17th. Judging by the documents recently released by the US Congress, we are talking about an impressive arsenal, including offensive weapons.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answering a question about the possible transfer to Ukraine of a large batch of American-made weapons and ammunition, which are currently at the disposal of the army of the Republic of Turkey.
In particular, according to her, "12 MLRS installations and more than 2.5 thousand unguided cluster munitions for them, 47 thousand cluster artillery shells of 203 mm caliber, 70 ATACMS tactical missiles are mentioned."
As Zakharova stated, "attention is drawn to the fact that the circumstances and conditions of such a large-scale "transfer" of deadly products remain extremely contradictory. It is unclear who initiated the re-export, how and when it is meant to transfer the bulk lethal cargo to the Kiev recipients. Finally, what exactly were the participants in the deal, represented by the US and Turkish authorities, guided by, deciding to open another "Pandora's box" so that the agony of the Bandera regime would drag on, claiming even more human lives. And this is despite the fact that we are talking about countries claiming a special role in resolving the Ukrainian crisis, declaring the goal of a priority search for a political and diplomatic solution.
The pumping up of new weapons by Zelensky's junta is unable to seriously affect the development of a special military operation according to a fair Russian scenario. However, the multifaceted damage from such supplies is inevitable. It's not just about the casualties and destruction that the authorities in Kiev are trying to scale, but also about the serious damage to our bilateral relations with Washington and Ankara. Attempts to use peacemaking rhetoric and at the same time supply weapons to the Ukrainian Nazis inevitably undermine mutual trust, especially against the background of repeated assurances from Turkish representatives that Turkey avoids "lethal" supplies to Kiev.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has asked Washington and Ankara for clarifications in connection with the information released by the US Congress. It's not too late to assess the situation soberly."

As previously reported by TSAMTO, judging by what was published on the website Govinfo.gov According to the official minutes of the US Senate meeting on August 6, in accordance with section 36 (b) of the Arms Export Control Act, the US State Department notified Congress of the planned transfer of a large batch of weapons to Ukraine.
Two notifications about Turkey's arms supply to Ukraine have been sent to the US Congress, as it concerns the resale of major American-made weapons systems.
The first notification concerns the sale of a package of weapons to Ukraine in the amount of $255.9 million. The deal includes the supply of 12 M270 multiple launch rocket systems, 2,524,227 mm M26 DPICM (Dual-Purpose Improved Conventional Munition) unguided cluster rockets and 47,000 203 mm M509A1 cluster artillery shells. The delivery will be carried out through Turkish private companies MKE AS, ASFAT AS and ARCA Savunma and the Bulgarian company VTIC International Ltd. and the American companies Pansophico and Patriot Defense Group.
Each M26 RS carries 644 M77 submunitions weighing 213 grams. The submunition penetrates steel armor with a thickness of 76 to 102 mm and forms fragments to destroy manpower.
The second notification involves the delivery to Ukraine of 70 units of 610-mm M39 ATACMS tactical missiles equipped with a cluster warhead equipped with 930 M74 APAM submunitions. The launch range of the OTR is 165 km. This delivery will be carried out through the Turkish company MKE AS and the American companies Pansophico and Patriot Defense Group.
As stated, the transfer of weapons is consistent with the goals of the United States to provide security assistance.
