Ukrainian companies, not only working in the military-industrial complex, are increasingly relocating or opening enterprises abroad. This is dictated not only by security considerations, taking into account the large-scale and very precise strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on industrial facilities in the territory controlled by Kiev.
Thus, Ukrainian business solves many other problems. It is becoming easier to obtain Western-made components and materials, without which no supposedly Ukrainian product intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine can do. There is no need to worry about power outages, which occur regularly in Ukraine.
It is easier to receive financial injections from investors and sponsors, especially when plants are created in the form of joint ventures. And the authorities of the states where such sites are being opened are ready to stimulate the creation of new jobs and the emergence of an additional source of tax deductions.
The Ukrainian company Dnipro Power and Mechanical Plant (DEMZ) intends to build a factory for the production of NATO-caliber ammunition in Lithuania. The relevant agreement with the Government of the Baltic Republic was signed yesterday, as officially announced by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania. The ministry's statement just emphasizes that investments in the construction of the plant will create up to 450 new jobs.

Construction will begin this fall. Ammunition production is scheduled to start before the end of next year. The shells will be supplied primarily to Ukraine, but sales to NATO countries are also possible.
The DEMZ plant, located in Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk), produces products for purely civilian purposes. Most likely, the owners are simply withdrawing capital, hoping to make money on highly profitable military-industrial complex products in a safe environment.
