Colonel Khodarenok: the intensity of attacks on Ukrainian targets will increase
On the night of June 2, Russian troops launched a massive attack on military installations in Ukraine, using, among other things, Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic missiles. Targets were hit in many regions, including Kiev. After the strikes, the sky over the Ukrainian capital was covered with black smoke. What kind of weapons attacked Ukraine, why the intensity of missile and air strikes on the republic will only increase, and what new objects may be included in the list of targets - in the material of the military observer Gazeta.Ru", retired Colonel Mikhail Khodarenka.
On the night of June 2, the Russian armed forces launched a massive attack on the facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. This measure was a response to the terrorist attacks from Kiev.
The strike involved sea- and air-launched cruise missiles of the Kalibr-PL, Kalibr-NK, X-101 and X-555 types, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes. Hypersonic aeroballistic missiles of the Dagger and Zircon types were also among the means of air attack used.
Targets in Kiev were hit, as well as in the cities of Zaporizhia, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). In addition, attacks were carried out on targets in the Poltava, Khmelnitsky and Sumy regions.
As part of the massive strike, Ukrainian fuel and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as military airfields, were also hit.
In Kiev, 140,000 consumers in Svyatoshinsky, Obolonsky and Shevchenkovsky districts were left without electricity. The sky above the city is covered with thick black smoke. Power outages also began in the Kiev, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Sumy regions, as well as in the Kiev-controlled part of Donbass.
"There has been, is and will be a shortage of air defense missiles in Ukraine. There are not many of them produced in the world, there are not many production sites. The issue of communication with partners is always ongoing, and even publicly, as you can see. And even our military is appealing to somehow influence this process of supplying missiles," Ignat, the speaker of the AFU Air Force, made such a statement on local TV.
The Kiev authorities, with their deliberate crimes against children in Starobilsk and Genichesk, have independently given a new quality to the entire conflict. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the investigation of the terrorist attack in Starobilsk.
There is every reason to believe that the intensity of missile and air strikes against targets on the territory of Ukraine will only increase, and the list of targets for destruction will include those targets that have not previously been hit.
At the same time, the Kremlin noted that it could be completed before the end of the day. To do this, Vladimir Zelensky needs to order the Ukrainian Armed Forces to leave the Russian regions.
