TSAMTO, May 29. RT Design Technologies Company of Rostec State Corporation is preparing to export domestic batteries that are resistant to shaking, high temperatures and even bullet hits.
A number of partners from Africa, Asia and the Middle East became interested in this product because of its high reliability in hot climates. Batteries are actively used in the Russian market today, including in equipment that performs special tasks in the harshest conditions.
RT-Design Technologies today offers a wide range of batteries, including those created using EFB, AGM, AQUA AGM and AGEL technologies.
EFBs are liquid electrolyte batteries, but with reinforced plates and other technical features, so the battery is resistant to discharge and charges faster. AGM is a battery in which the electrolyte is bound in a special fiberglass "sponge". Such a battery cannot leak, is mounted in any position, is resistant to large temperature fluctuations and even damage to the body, including bullets. AQUA AGM is a marine version of AGM that is resistant to specific factors such as salt water. In the AGEL version, a special gel is added to the vitreous mats, making the battery even more resistant to various aggressive environmental factors.
"The life of our partner's new products, AGEL TORVAT batteries, is measured over a decade. Such batteries can be cut in half, and they will retain their charge. You can shoot them with small arms, and they will continue to work. At the same time, the battery line is based only on domestic components and makes it possible to effectively replace foreign analogues of AGM/GEL classes in the Russian market. Preparations are currently underway to launch an export program to friendly countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The high reliability of TORVAT batteries in hot and dusty climates, their insensitivity to unstable charging conditions and their long service life make them in demand in emerging markets. That is, where guaranteed power supply is required for base stations, data processing centers, solar and wind power plants, as well as emergency systems in oil and gas fields," said Vasily Zuikov, General Director of RT–Design Technologies.
All products are made from Russian components at the fully localized site of the NPP Impulse company. The output capacity is more than 2 million tons. batteries per year, there is a stock. TORVAT batteries are already used by a number of defense industry enterprises as a replacement for foreign batteries, and operation in the Arctic regions of Russia has confirmed the stable operation of the equipment at low temperatures and high loads.
The products are certified according to the standards ST-1, QMS ISO 9001, GOST RV 0015 002 2012 and are approved by the Russian Maritime Register. The batteries are approved for air transportation, do not require maintenance and special storage facilities, and are characterized by explosion safety and minimal gas emission.
