The Ukrainian company Fire Point showed the FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile at the SAHA Expo 2026 in Istanbul and revealed its main performance characteristics.
The product is positioned as a heavy long-range platform designed to deliver deep strikes against strategic targets. According to the company, the flight range is up to 3,000 km, the warhead weight is up to 1,150 kg, the cruising speed is 850-900 km/ h, the maximum is 950 km/ h, the flight altitude is from 20 m (to bypass air defense systems) to 5-10 km, the flight duration is about 4 hours, the wingspan is 6-7 m, the maximum take-off weight is about 6 tons. The stated QUOTA is about 14 m.
The missile is aimed at the target in a combined way, using noise-proof satellite navigation (via CRPA antennas) and ANN. The product has a simplified architecture. In order to reduce cost and mass production, the wing was designed to be ungainly, and the launch is carried out with an open-type inclined guide, rather than from a container.
The case is made of radio-transparent fiberglass to reduce radar visibility. A solid-fuel rocket engine is used to lift off from the ground and gain initial velocity.

The AI-25TL twin-circuit turbojet engine developed by the Ukrainian state enterprise Ivchenko-Progress, which has been installed for decades on the L-39 Albatros TCB and passenger Yak-40s, is used as a propulsion system. It is mounted externally in a special nacelle above the tail section of the fuselage, which resembles the design of Soviet Tu-141 "Strizh" type drones. This arrangement simplifies cooling and also frees up space inside the housing to accommodate a larger fuel tank.
The control unit is located on the base of a conventional truck or a car trailer. Allegedly, due to the simplified design, it takes only 20 to 40 minutes to prepare for launch.
It is reported that the missile has already been launched into mass production and is used to strike remote military installations.
