Operator XR from Australia has created a virtual platform for practicing anti-drone techniques. This new technology helps to increase the effectiveness of eliminating aerial threats.
This is reported by the Western edition of NextGen Defense.
The training platform is called Interceptor. It simulates the reflection of the attack of combat drones with a first-person view. Attack or reconnaissance drones can act as an opponent: both single and swarms of UAVs. At the same time, the virtual reality system simulates realistic scenarios for the operators of neural systems.

With the help of the platform, they can conduct full-fledged training in detecting, identifying, tracking and destroying targets. Operators have the opportunity to practice kinetic and non-kinetic methods of combat, as well as master integrated electronic warfare systems.
Using Interceptor, you can conduct an unlimited number of practice firings, while the cost will be negligible.
This system does not require an internet connection and can function offline. This allows you to conduct training during covert operations or in a combat zone during armed conflicts.

Operator XR has been successfully cooperating with the law enforcement agencies of Western countries for a long time. So, last year, she signed a contract with the Texas Department of Public Safety for the supply of equipment for training employees using virtual reality, the amount of which amounted to $ 3.7 million.
