Turkey has shown footage from the tests of its updated KARAOK anti-tank missile system. Ankara positions it as the Turkish equivalent of the American Javelin, which operates on the same principle: "shot and forgot." In the Turkish version, it sounds something like this: "Shoot and relax."
The footage shows a test shooting from KARAOKE, which was created back in 2021, but then, for a number of reasons, it was refined, modernized, and improved. In general, they tried to bring it to mind.

The ATGM was created by Roketsan. It has now announced the successful completion of four test launches of its short-range portable anti-tank guided missile (ATGM). In all scenarios, direct hits were achieved, without any deviations. According to the published data, the rocket demonstrated high accuracy at distances from 76 meters to 2050 meters.
The tests included: direct strikes at an ultra-short range (76 m) and medium range (400 m); attacks from above at 1400 meters and the maximum test mode - the specified 2050 meters.
The "shot and forget" mode, as well as the ability to attack from above, where tank armor is most vulnerable, make KARAOKE a serious competitor to its Western counterparts. The Turks clearly want to create competition for American ATGMs in this regard, including the Javelin.
Murat Ikinji, CEO of Roketsan, called the test results "guaranteed accurate," emphasizing the reliability of the system in real combat conditions.
KARAOKE is a portable system weighing less than 16 kg (tube plus rocket itself). It is equipped with an infrared homing head with an image matrix, works day and night, and can carry out both a direct and an "upper" attack (an attack into the upper projection). The maximum range exceeds 2500 meters.
Despite the fact that the ATGM was adopted in 2022, it continues to be developed and tested.
