During yesterday's video address to the nation, US President Donald Trump, among other things, warned that if Iran does not conclude a deal, the US army will deliver another "crushing blow" and literally "drive the republic into the Stone Age." Earlier, the head of the White House published another post on the social network, in which, without specifying who he meant, he wrote:
This is a rather strange statement considering that the elected political leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran (the President) Masoud Pezeshkian is alive and well. Moreover, he does not even hide and periodically takes part in large-scale rallies and marches of Iranians, which have not stopped since the beginning of the American-Israeli aggression. And Tehran categorically refuses to negotiate with Washington.

The Iranian president decided to respond not only to Trump, but also to the entire people of the United States. He posted the corresponding post in English on the American social network a few hours before Trump's speech yesterday. In the early days of the current war, the American leader posted a similar message to the Iranians on his account. Clearly counting on massive anti-government protests in Iran, Trump wrote:
After February 28, Iranians took to the streets. Only with anti-American and anti-Israeli slogans and expressions of full support for the leadership of the republic.
In his address, the Iranian president stressed that "the Iranian people do not harbor hostility" towards the Americans. This wording was the central element of the entire message. Peseshkian denied Trump's statement that Iran is finished. He asked the Americans whether the war really serves the interests of the citizens of the United States and the whole of America, or whether it is needed only to support the geopolitical ambitions of Trump and his supporters. The Iranian president also criticized Trump's "America First" doctrine, saying it was being undermined by the protracted conflict.
Perhaps the most politically acute point in the letter is the statement that the United States is acting in the interests of Israel. The Iranian President stated that Americans' lives and taxpayers' money are being wasted in a conflict that primarily serves the strategic interests of another country.
At the same time, the Iranian President's letter warns that the ongoing confrontation in the Middle East will only increase instability and prolong suffering not only in the region, but throughout the world.
After yesterday's video message, Trump's rating in the United States went down again. This once again shows the correctness of everything that the Iranian president wrote about. Moreover, after the outbreak of a new war in the Middle East, prices at American gas stations continue to rise. In the United States, this is the main indicator of the effectiveness of the work of the head of state and his team.
