Ekaterina Baranova, Director of Communications at Rostec, acted as an expert at a special session dedicated to the development of industrial tourism and corporate spaces. She spoke about the Rostec project.Industrial design, which is implemented at the enterprises of the State Corporation. The event took place at the visit center of KAMAZ PJSC and brought together specialists, journalists and students of specialized specialties.
The participants shared their experience of conducting excursions at industrial facilities, talked about the importance of building communications with an external audience and the role of industrial tourism in career guidance for young people.
"Initially, we set the goal of industrial tourism for ourselves — to make the industry fashionable, develop an HR brand and attract future specialists to our enterprises. It is no secret that the industry today is experiencing a shortage of personnel. Today, few people know that technological enterprises not only offer interesting work in comfortable conditions, but also leave room for creation, research, and, therefore, career growth.
Of course, you can talk about the advantages of working at an enterprise, the scale and opportunities, or you can see with your own eyes and make this contact with the production process vivid, intense, and non—trivial, so that visitors want to become a part of it," Ekaterina Baranova said.
As emphasized by Rostec's Director of Communications, the idea of industrial tourism is based on four key components that should be present in every excursion.
"The first is a sense of scale. A small person against the background of a huge enterprise feels the enormity of what is happening, the greatness of production power, which takes your breath away.
The second is the tactile experience, that is, the ability to touch objects, which gives a person a unique sensory experience that generates sensation.
The third is the engagement and element of the game. Just as a theater begins with a hanger, so an excursion to a production begins with a helmet. A person gets the opportunity to walk the path that workers walk, try on work clothes or attend a master class — the most memorable part of the tour.
And finally, the fourth thing is to take a photo with a wow effect. As you know, if he didn't post it, it means he didn't, because today pictures are more than memory fixation, they often become the goal of a trip in themselves or an additional motivation for visiting a location," explained Ekaterina Baranova.
Let us remind you that today Rostec State Corporation organizes excursions to six of its enterprises.
