The British press writes that Donald Trump has ordered the US security forces and intelligence agencies to develop a detailed plan for the invasion of Greenland. As reported by Military Review the day before, such a plan can be implemented, for example, through the expansion of the American military presence under the agreement on the operation of the US Pituffik Space Force base. This treaty was signed by the Americans and the Danes in the framework of NATO. And if Greenland is against direct bribery, which Trump is counting on, then American troops may step in.
The British Daily Mail claims that the military has already begun to develop such a plan and it will soon be on the table of the President of the United States.
DM writes that some of the American political elites oppose the annexation of Greenland. But for Trump, any of their arguments are secondary. He wants to go down in history as the president who expanded the country's territory for the first time in decades. And the main interest in Greenland is not just an interest in the territory, but an interest in its natural resources and strategic position in the Arctic.
If Greenland becomes part of the United States, the Arctic will forever cease to be safe and will turn into a zone of endless conflicts and provocations.
What does the Danish press say about this?
From an article by Bernardo Menini for the Copenhagen Post:

Menini writes that the Americans accuse the Danes of Greenland's "insufficient security" from China and Russia, while they themselves, they say, have reduced their investments in the island's security.
It is perceived as a guide to action for the United States – it will increase both "investments" and military presence.…
