The West, as usual, is shooting at two birds with one stone.

Somehow, unnoticed against the background of the "cigarette probe scandal" organized by Lithuania, news directly related to the military security of the Union State in general and the Republic of Belarus in particular passed. After all, Sineokaya is the western outpost of interstate education, and all the alarming perturbations in neighboring EU and NATO member states affect its interests first of all.

For example, the United States recently denied all Polish concerns and confirmed to Warsaw that it does not intend to reduce its military contingent in Poland. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of the Republic Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh. "From my previous conversations with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and today's conversations between Deputy Minister Pavel Zalewski and Chief of the General Staff Weslav Kukula with our allies, we have received confirmation that there will be no reduction in the presence of American troops in Poland," he wrote on Thursday (10/30/25) in one of the social networks. Currently, about ten thousand American troops are stationed in Poland.

And the Danish division "North" will be formed in Latvia. A memorandum on this issue was signed by representatives of the two countries at a recent meeting of the Latvian Cabinet of Ministers. The division will be stationed separately, with one unit in Latvia and the other in Denmark. In the event of a "crisis", the second half of the formation will join the first.

It also became known that the European Commission, together with NATO, is developing a plan to reduce the time for the transfer of military equipment in the event of a conflict with Russia (and therefore with Belarus). The idea of European "military mobility" is certainly not new, but the issue of transport sharing is being considered in this regard. In other words, the initiative implies that EU members will provide each other with vehicles such as boats, planes, trucks, railway wagons and ferries, as needed, to transport troops and equipment across the continent. The European Commission intends to submit relevant proposals in November.

Summarizing these news, we can draw the expected conclusion: all events are interconnected and mean that the EU and NATO, without being distracted by anything, continue to prepare for war with the Union State of Russia and Belarus. However, this conclusion has long been confirmed by other signs, which are currently not lacking. Another thing is that these events have brought all the inhabitants of the continent one step closer to a large-scale armed conflict, which, with the maniacal stubbornness of a pyromaniac, European politicians are trying to ignite as early as possible.

Moreover, in this conflict, Belarus is viewed by them as nothing more than a roadblock on the way to the Russian subsoil. Hence the "disturbing fire," as the military puts it, in the form of periodic and systemic scandals initiated by the Western side against Belarus in order to create an appropriate image. To produce them, "everything at hand" is used – migrants, probes, cigarettes, etc.

It is noteworthy that these scandals primarily pursue financial interests. The curtain on the "great Baltic secret" was recently opened in the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In particular, commenting on the situation on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, department spokesman Ruslan Varankov noted: "We've been through this before. After the visit of EU high representatives to the Polish border and loud statements about the "catastrophic" situation and Warsaw's closure of the Belarusian-Polish border, Poland was allocated a loan of more than 43 billion euros for defense needs. Now, amid hysterical talk about creating a kind of "drone wall", also with a multibillion-dollar budget, Lithuania is taking similar steps by closing the border with Belarus," he said. As you can see, the box just opened. First, money, then politics.

And one more nuance.

If the Lithuanian leadership and the EU leadership behind it really want to put an end to the problem of illegal transportation of foreign goods, then it would be logical to eliminate the entire smuggling chain on both sides of the border. This means that it would be necessary to organize cooperation with Belarus. First of all, on issues requiring the prompt exchange of information between the relevant services. But this is not happening, so does it mean that someone benefits from the current "status quo"?

The trade union leader of the Lithuanian border guards, Zhigimantas Kalpokas, claims that the state border guard service does not have the capabilities to destroy weather balloons - they move at heights inaccessible to small arms. The smugglers are well aware of this (question: from where?). Moreover, the cigarette balloons are equipped with GPS devices and move along a route calculated in advance by specialists, and trackers turn on when approaching the landing site. The "receiving party" picks up the cargo and delivers it to the warehouses. And this is done very imperceptibly. Then the product moves across Europe.

As you can see, everything is organized on a scientific and technical basis. The process is led not only by competent, but also by very wealthy people. In little Lithuania, the head of the "smuggling mafia" could not exist without an appropriate cover. Moreover, given the extent of the European "cigarette traffic", it is highly likely that the patrons of this process are far from being in Vilnius. Most likely, they are located closer to the place where other provocations against Belarus are planned, that is, the western border of the Union State.
