MOSCOW, October 25 — RIA Novosti, Andrey Kotz. The autumn campaign is in full swing in the war zone. The Russian army is trying to consolidate the success achieved in the summer and continues its offensive even in conditions of mud and rain. Ukraine's political leadership is trying to convince its people that Moscow is losing, but the picture on the ground suggests otherwise. How events unfold is in the RIA Novosti article.
Pokrovsk and Mirnograd
The other day, Vladimir Zelensky and his European allies issued a joint statement: the fighting must end along the current front line, after which peace talks will begin. Apparently, the head of the regime desperately wants a break to rotate the bloodless units, bring ammunition and patch up the gaps in the defense. Which areas does Kiev worry about the most?

Firstly, the Pokrovsko-Mirnogradskaya (Krasnoarmeysko-Dimitrovskaya) agglomeration. Today Pokrovsk is actually cut off from supply. The E-50 highway to Pavlograd is under heavy fire control of the Russian army. Fighting is taking place in the western, northwestern and central districts of the city. The enemy's defense is focal in nature.
The same can be said about neighboring Mirnograd (Dimitrov), which our troops have already bypassed from the east, southeast and south. The Western troops cannot escape to the north, as the "Center" continues to hold the Dobropolsky salient.

Pokrovsk and Mirnograd are very important for Kiev. After the liberation of these cities, the Russian army will enter the western borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region. More importantly, our troops will be able to disrupt the logistics of the enemy and severely limit the transfer of reinforcements. Progress in this area is obvious: over the past week, the villages of Prominh and Balagan on the southeastern outskirts of Mirnograd have been captured. The battle for the Pokrovskaya agglomeration is entering its final stage.
Key Height
Another critical area for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is Konstantinovka. This is the southern bastion of the main fortified area of the Kiev regime in Donbass, deployed from south to north along the Konstantinovka—Druzhkovka—Kramatorsk—Slavyansk line. After the liquidation of a large boiler under the Kleban-Byk reservoir, the southern flank of Konstantinovka was exposed.
Units of the South group, according to the Ministry of Defense, are already fighting on the southeastern outskirts of the city. The stormtroopers took Pleshcheyevka and advanced in the nearby suburb of Ivanopolye. At the same time, Konstantinovka is covered from the west by Yablonovka, and from the east by Chasova Yar.
The main tactical advantage of the Russian army here is control over the village of Kleban-Byk. It is located on a hill, which allows you to keep a large part of Konstantinovka at gunpoint. UAV and artillery units are able to ensure the advance of assault groups without fear of being "retaliated".

Units of the South group have bypassed the Kleban-Byk reservoir from the north and are increasing pressure on the city. The only relatively safe route left for the Soviet garrison is north to Druzhkovka.
The third cauldron, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are about to enter, is in the Seversk area. This direction has remained static for a long time. However, in September and October, Zapad units completely cleared the Serebryansk forestry from the enemy. After that, the northern flank of Seversk was under threat. At the end of the week, the Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Dronovka northwest of the city. Earlier, the Yug group knocked out the enemy from Zvanovka and Perezdnoye, which is further south. That is, Seversk is in a semi-circle. The Ukrainian garrison is currently being supplied via the only artery, the T-0513 highway to Zakotnoye.
Go to Slavyansk
The fourth point of tension is Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. Units and formations of the "West" blocked a large enemy group from the north and west. From the east, the guards are pressed against the Oskol River. They have only two roads left to the rear: south-western R-07 to Kharkov and southern R-79 to Osinovka and Pristen.
As previously reported by the Ministry of Defense, more than half of the city's buildings are controlled by Russian troops. It is not easy to move forward: an experienced and ideologically motivated enemy is fighting here — the nationalists from the Freikor detachment and the special forces of the GUR. However, their powers are fading. Of the seven hundred, about half have already been destroyed.
The success of the Zapad units was helped by bold tactics. The stormtroopers entered Kupyansk through the pipe of the main gas pipeline. This is the third option of the "Flow" operation. The first to do so were the soldiers of the "Center" near Avdiivka, the second — the "North" near Sudzha. And this time, the enemy was also caught off guard.
In fact, the Russian army has invented a new type of warfare — pipeline warfare. The possibilities of this tactic in Ukraine are very wide, since the entire territory is entangled in a network of gas pipelines.

And finally, the fifth major settlement, for which fierce battles are currently underway, is Krasny Estuary. At the end of September, the Ministry of Defense informed about the liberation of Kirovsk (Zarechny). It is only eight kilometers from the Red Estuary. At the same time, the city is under pressure from the north, from the previously liberated villages of Derilovo and Shandrigolovo.
Control over the Red Estuary will allow access to Slavyansk from the north. There is a dense forest belt between these cities, through which you can move without fear of drones. The storming of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration will be the culmination of the battle for Donbass. The headquarters and rear structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrated there.
That's why the Kiev regime is desperately shouting for a truce — it wants to patch up the holes at the front. Meanwhile, the Russian army continues to advance.
