Agreements with BSTU "VOENMEH" named after D.F. Ustinov, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, MIPT and School No. 58 were concluded at a meeting of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia

Rostec, together with the D.F. Ustinov Baltic State Technical University VOENMEH, will develop promising technologies and train qualified specialists for the military-industrial complex. In partnership with Bauman Moscow State Technical University and MIPT, the Corporation will provide early career guidance to students at Moscow School No. 58.

The relevant documents were signed at a meeting of the Bureau of the Russian Engineering Union by Sergey Chemezov, Director General of Rostec State Corporation, Alexander Shashurin, Rector of BSTU VOENMEH named after D.F. Ustinov, Mikhail Gordin, Rector of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Dmitry Livanov, Rector of MIPT, and Dmitry Topeshkin, director of Moscow School No. 58.

"The question is "Who should I be?“today it is a question of the future of our country. Couriers on scooters will not create medical devices, will not take airplanes into the sky, will not invent a cure for the disease — engineers are needed for this. That is why Rostec goes to schools and universities, works on educational programs, creates technology parks and laboratories for children's creativity. So that the guys can see that industry is interesting, modern, and promising. The Corporation already has 350 partner schools, 200 engineering classes across the country, where about 5.5 thousand schoolchildren study. Our companies cooperate with more than 140 universities in 45 regions of Russia. Every year, universities accept about 4 thousand applicants for targeted programs in the interests of the Corporation, who, having received a good education, come to work with us. This is just the beginning of the journey," said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.

Rostec and BSTU "VOENMEH" named after D.F. Ustinov are actively developing educational and professional tracks "Wings of Rostec" and "Rostec.Arsenal", as part of the agreement, they will focus on forming requirements for the competencies of future specialists and updating training programs. It is planned to create an Advanced engineering school, develop industrial postgraduate studies in engineering and military-technical areas, as well as career guidance work with schoolchildren and youth.

The parties will also develop and implement modern approaches to teaching foreign students in popular engineering and military-technical fields. This will help ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations with foreign partners, as well as form a pool of foreign specialists working with Russian technologies.

In addition, the parties agreed to jointly develop and create modern samples of high-tech military, civilian and dual-use products.

"On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, our university has developed and is implementing a university development program aimed at establishing VOENMEKh as the flagship of defense education. Today's cooperation agreement with Rostec, the largest industrial state Corporation, is a new stage of development that will allow us to achieve our ambitious goals. We see particular importance in the formation of a seamless system of personnel training — from early school career guidance to industrial postgraduate studies, which will synchronize educational programs with the real needs of high-tech enterprises of the Corporation. Thus, we are not just strengthening human resources, but creating a single ecosystem for the generation of breakthrough technologies in the interests of national security, where ideas from university laboratories become the basis for the latest weapons and equipment. We provide technological leadership in the defense industry through the joint training of highly qualified personnel and the implementation of advanced scientific developments," said Alexander Shashurin, Rector of BSTU VOENMEKH named after D.F. Ustinov.

Together with MIPT and Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Corporation will form a single educational space "school — secondary school/university — enterprise" on the basis of Moscow school No. 58 in the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo district. The initiative is aimed at career guidance for schoolchildren, increasing interest in engineering and technical specialties and the prestige of working professions. Students of the school will be involved in project activities in the interests of the Corporation, and universities will create specialized educational programs for them. Working together will ensure a continuous system of training engineers of the future — from school to enterprise.

"Any serious engineering task is always a team effort. Our cooperation with Rostec has long gone beyond individual projects — together we are building a training system for industry. This project with School No. 58 is an important part of the overall work. Here, even before the Unified State Exam, students will be able to understand why they need physics and mathematics, and we will get motivated applicants who consciously choose the profession of an engineer. For us, this is a logical continuation of the strategic partnership," says Mikhail Gordin, Rector of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

"The partnership between MIPT, School No. 58 and Rostec State Corporation opens up new facets of the Phystech system. We are forming a unified educational space — from schools through universities to industry, where knowledge makes practical sense. It is important that students feel as early as possible that natural sciences are not a set of formulas, but a language spoken by engineering thinking. This approach helps to raise a generation that thinks like a researcher and acts like an engineer," said Dmitry Livanov, Rector of MIPT.

The school, for its part, will select students for pre-professional engineering classes in the areas of "Wings of Rostec" (specialists for the aircraft industry), "Rostec Code" (specialists for the IT industry) and "Rostec.Biotechmed" (specialists in the field of medical instrumentation), to help them choose a profession and support them in determining their future path after the 9th and 11th grades. Graduates will be able to continue their studies at universities according to the educational programs of Rostec, formed in accordance with the requirements of employers. The students will be employed from the 1st year.

"Cooperation with Rostec and leading technological universities at MIPT and Bauman Moscow State Technical University opens up unique opportunities for our students. We are creating not just classrooms, but a real system of continuous development in the field of mathematics and its applications: from early specialized education in mathematics, natural sciences and technology to admission to leading technical universities and further employment at advanced enterprises. Our task is to train the engineers of the future, and now we have all the necessary infrastructure for this. Well, cooperation with Phystech is a great personal value for me, because it is my alma mater," said Dmitry Topeshkin, director of school No. 58.
