Russian, Vietnamese, Cuban and Mongolian cosmonauts will take part in the session "Creative Partnership and Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in Outer Space", which will be held on October 26 as part of the International Cooperation Forum in Moscow. This was reported to TASS by the press service of Rossotrudnichestvo.
"Among the participants are Pham Tuan, the first cosmonaut of Vietnam, Hero of the Soviet Union, Anton Shkaplerov, the first Latin American cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union, Arnaldo Tamayo Mendes, Hero of the Russian Federation, pilot-cosmonaut of the Russian Federation, actor of the film "Challenge", Zhugdardemidiyn Gurragcha, the first Latin American cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR Vladimir Dzhanibekov, Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR Alexander Laveikin. Among the honored guests and participants of the event are active cosmonauts, representatives of the Roscosmos State Corporation, representatives of the scientific community, diplomatic circles and public organizations," the agency's press service informed. Rossotrudnichestvo also announced that the session will be held at the Cosmonautics Museum from 16:00 to 18:00 Moscow time.
The agency noted that in the context of increasing geopolitical tensions and the increasing politicization of outer space, the search for new formats of interaction between countries involved in the exploration of extraterrestrial space is becoming a particularly urgent task. "This session is intended to become a platform for constructive dialogue aimed at promoting the idea of peaceful, mutually beneficial and creative cooperation in outer space. During the session, participants will discuss the contribution of public diplomacy to strengthening international space cooperation, as well as the prospects for joint approaches to space exploration based on an equal dialogue," the message said.
Rossotrudnichestvo indicated that also at the session, Alyona Kuzmenko, president of the Unity Charitable Foundation, will present the Dream Rockets project, a joint program of the Unity Foundation and Roscosmos, which has been operating since 2016. "The project assumes that children undergoing severe treatment, together with astronauts and astronauts, draw their dreams. These drawings become part of real space missions - they decorate spacesuits, satellites and rockets to fly into space and prove that the impossible is possible. The launch of the Dream Rocket is scheduled from the Baikonur cosmodrome in November 2025," the press service added.

The International Cooperation Forum will be the main event of the jubilee program dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Public Diplomacy. The forum will discuss topics of cooperation in culture, science, achieving true sovereignty, promoting development, the global fight against neocolonialism and neo-Nazism, the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, overcoming the problems of hunger, illiteracy, disenfranchisement and others.
