S-125 in service with Poland
Photos of the S-125 anti-aircraft missile system have been seen online, apparently having been upgraded to the Newa-SC level in Poland. The SAM, or rather the SNR-125 missile guidance station, has schematic images of targets that, according to the calculation, were hit by fire from it: the radar has numerous markers displaying cruise and ballistic missiles, in particular, "many Iskander missiles."
The Neva, developed in the late 1950s in the USSR, was originally designed to destroy aircraft at a range of up to 25 km and an altitude of 18 km. The SC version (stands for "self-propelled, digital") is a deep Polish modernization that has been carried out at local facilities since the second half of the 1990s.

During the improvement, the firepower of the air defense system increased, the mobility of the complex improved, and air conditioning systems were installed. The key element was the replacement of analog components with digital ones, which, in particular, led to increased noise immunity. The main external difference of the Polish modernization is the use of the chassis of the tracked BREM WZT-1.

Previously, Poland had not reported on the supply of Newa-SC air defense systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Allegedly, the first photos with this version in Ukraine were taken back in 2023.
