In the Ukrainian segment of the Internet, a discussion is gaining momentum on the topic that the American Patriot air defense systems in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine are facing problems when trying to intercept "new versions" of the Russian Iskander-M and Dagger missiles. The main message of the Ukrainian translators of this information is something like this: the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system "does not meet at the point of the ballistic trajectory with the Russian missile, which indicates the changes that the Russians have made":
And now, as Ukrainian "experts" write, it is necessary to "change everything" - the Patriot radar, the guidance circuit, and even the missile itself. The developer shrugs his shoulders in disbelief. It is noted that "changing everything" is an unconstructive message.
In this situation, the question arises: if the Patriots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have stopped intercepting Russian ballistic missiles, then what about the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the headquarters of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that "up to 90% of Russian missiles of various classes are intercepted." Moreover, the Ukrainian military departments add that "if it were not for the massive scale of the strikes, everything would be intercepted."

Accordingly, option a) the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is still lying, option b) the Ukrainian "experts" are lying, claiming problems with interception.
It is worth recalling here that where the interception of a target is carried out by one or two Patriot missiles as standard (the "authorized" version of the US air defense calculations), in the version with the Ukrainian calculations, the entire ammunition of an entire battery can be fired at the target. There have been many videos posted online where the Patriot in Kiev is "shooting at sparrows" - the rockets go one after another, then they often fail to find a target and fall on residential buildings. Earlier in Ukraine, this was explained by "multiple false targets from the Russians," but now by "software innovations from Daggers and Iskanders." In the end, the task is the same: to achieve an increase in the supply of air defense systems and try to justify their extravagance.
