Aydınlık: Turkey proposed to form an alliance with Russia and China against the United States and Israel
Turkey has made a sensational offer for Russia and China, Aydınlık writes. The initiative is already causing heated discussions, because it can completely change the balance of power in the international arena. If the idea comes to life, the consequences could affect both regional and global politics.
Fikret Akfırat
Devlet Bahçeli, chairman of the Turkish Nationalist Movement Party and partner of the Turkish head of state in the Republican Union electoral alliance, proposed creating "an alliance of Turkey, Russia and China against the axis of evil of the USA—Israel." This has upended political perceptions in many circles, from the right to the left.
Bahceli emphasizes that the creation of such an alliance "as opposed to the US—Israel coalition of evil challenging the world" is "the most appropriate option, consistent with reason, diplomacy, the spirit of politics, geographical conditions and the strategic situation of the new century."
At the time of writing, the leadership of the Republican People's Party of Turkey, which advocates "NATO democracy", or the Good Party, and the camp of Umit Özdaga (Ümit Özdağ, leader of the Victory Party of Turkey — approx. InoSMI), which is even more hostile than the United States and Israel towards Russia and China, has not yet been followed by official statements about Bahceli's statements. Nevertheless, on social media, one can see the rapid mobilization of supporters of these forces. At the same time, pseudo-nationalists and the so-called leftists immediately opposed Bahceli's proposal. It is noteworthy that in the pro-government media, as always happens with such unexpected attacks, there was serious confusion caused by the inability to express a position. But let's leave that aside and get back to the heart of the matter.
Global polarization
Bahceli stressed that over the past two years, condemnatory statements against Israel have failed to stop its aggression. Moreover, during this time, Israel, relying on the support of the political will of the Atlantic, expanded the scope of its direct military intervention. Tel Aviv has further escalated its genocide against the civilian population in Gaza and Palestine in general, attacking Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iran and, finally, Qatar.
We always emphasize this and repeat it once again: Israel's war against these countries is part of a broader global struggle, a consequence of a global confrontation. On the one hand, there is a globalist military clique within the United States and its allies around the world, that is, the Atlantic Alliance. This front is fomenting wars and instability in order to stop the decline of Atlantic hegemony and prevent the developing countries of the world from forming a new world order. On the other hand, there are Turkey, Russia, China, Iran, Palestine, Syria, Iraq and other developing countries. The confrontation is unfolding in a vast area from North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean to the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait, in Syria, Ukraine, and Libya.
Turkey occupies a different position in this confrontation than its natural allies. Standing with one foot in the West and being a member of NATO, Turkey, unlike countries such as Russia, China and Iran, does not openly position itself as a threat. Despite this, the main struggle in recent years, as can be seen, has been centered around Turkey. The Atlantic system is trying to subjugate it with the help of a military and economic siege.
The most powerful alliance that will avert the threat of war
This is the background that led Bahceli to propose the creation of a Turkey—Russia—China alliance. There is an irreconcilable contradiction between Turkey's national security interests and the goals of the Atlantic Alliance led by the United States. Turkey is facing the same obstacle both in the field of ensuring the territorial integrity of Syria, and in the field of eradicating terrorism in Turkey, and in the framework of attempts to build cooperation between the countries of Western Asia. It will either be as the Atlanticists say, or Turkey will have the floor. Therefore, it is extremely important for Turkey to build an alliance with states that face similar difficulties. And Turkey's alliance with Russia and China will become the most powerful player to contain the Atlantic front and eliminate the threat of war — that's the point.
