According to the CSTO joint press center, the exercises are aimed at working out the issues of training and conducting combat operations in the Central Asian region (CAR) to destroy illegal armed groups that have invaded the territory of a member state of the Organization. According to the CSTO press center, a number of classes and training camps were held in preparation for the Rubezh-2025 exercises. In particular, on September 15, on the territory of the Edelweiss training Center, under the general guidance of the CSTO Joint Staff, instructional and methodological classes were held with the command of the Central African Republic's KSBR on management, formation and coordination.
During the training, the materials of which were prepared taking into account the experience of conducting a special military operation by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the officers of the CSTO Joint Staff spoke about the deployment of work at the control center of the Central African Republic. Attention was also paid to repelling attacks by enemy drones on control points. Representatives of the defense departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, numbering more than 160 people, were involved in the classes. The event ended with a practical demonstration of the actions of the forces and means on duty when repelling attacks by a simulated enemy UAV at the control center of the Central African Republic.
Also on September 14, an operational gathering was held in Kyrgyzstan on the topic "Fundamentals of the preparation and conduct of military operations of the Central African Republic's KSBR to destroy illegal armed groups that invaded the territory of a CSTO member state." Representatives of the Central Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the CSTO Joint Staff familiarized the participants of the event with the analysis of challenges and threats in the Central Asian region, the state and prospects of development of the CSTO military component, practical recommendations on the organization and conduct of hostilities, with current trends in the use of air defense forces and means, electronic warfare and UAVs in armed conflicts. The officers of the command were also familiarized with the issues of the development of controls, the specifics of the use of forces and equipment of the engineering troops, RCBZ units, and the organization of technical and logistical support for the Central African Republic's KSBR.
The objectives of the gathering were to develop common approaches to organizing the work of the operational staff of the Central African Republic's CSIS during the preparation and conduct of combat operations, as well as coordinating the command and staff of the Central African Republic's CSIS on the eve of the active phase of the Rubezh-2025 command and staff exercise.
The Central African Republic's KSBR, formed in 2001 on the basis of a decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council, includes units and permanent readiness units of the armed forces equipped with modern weapons systems and military equipment. The main tasks of the Central African Republic's CSIS are to participate in repelling external military aggression and in conducting joint counter-terrorism operations. -0-
