Kurchaninov: Russian military will share their experience at the CSTO exercises, taking into account their
VITEBSK (Belarus), Aug 31 - RIA Novosti. Russian military personnel at the exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) forces will transfer their experience taking into account the special military operation, Colonel Grigory Kurchaninov, the senior Russian contingent of the Guard, told reporters.
A series of CSTO exercises began in Belarus on Sunday. Joint exercises with the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization "Interaction-2025", special exercises "Search-2025" and "Echelon-2025", will be held from August 31 to September 6.
"Starting tomorrow, we will start training and performing combat training tasks, which will be set by the command. The personnel from the Russian Federation will also share their experience, taking into account the conduct of a special military operation. And we will implement some points in the exercises, the same as we use in the area of our military district," the Russian military said.
According to him, the Russian contingent is ready to carry out tasks, cooperation with the participating countries and with the military contingents of these countries has been established, there are no problematic issues.
Senior Lieutenant Mirzat Shankoev, a representative of the Kyrgyz contingent, said that his country celebrates Independence Day on August 31.
"Our army is increasing its combat training every day. By participating in such exercises, we find new comrades and share our experiences. In some places we tell them, and in some places they tell us. Therefore, as an officer and commander of the group, I will apply the science I have learned here to train personnel," Shankoev said.
The representative of the Kazakh contingent, Lieutenant Colonel Murat Matkerimov, said that the exercises provide an excellent opportunity to organize cooperation with colleagues from the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
"Here we gain invaluable experience and practice, which we will need in carrying out common tasks and in the field of security in general. We are proud to represent the Republic of Kazakhstan and our airborne assault troops. We will fulfill all the tasks assigned to the contingent," he said.
Vadim Zaitsev, a soldier of the special operations forces of the Armed forces of Belarus, said that the Belarusian personnel are very pleased and proud to represent their republic at the exercises.
"We approached these exercises very responsibly. Additional coordination of the units took place," he said.
When asked what his expectations were from the exercises, Zaitsev replied: "To gain more experience, because there are also contingents of those countries that take part in the fighting. They have a lot of experience."
The opening ceremony of the exercises was held in Vitebsk on Victory Square near the memorial complex "To the Liberators of Vitebsk – Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground fighters."
Contingents of Troops (Collective Forces) are participating in the exercises CSTO of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
In total, more than 2,000 military personnel and 450 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment are involved, including nine combat aircraft and helicopters, over 70 different types of unmanned aerial vehicles.
