The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov, summed up the results of the spring-summer campaign of 2025 and clarified the tasks of the groups of troops for the future.

The Russian Federation's non-stop offensive
- The combined group of troops continues a non-stop offensive along almost the entire front line.
- Since March, Russian troops have liberated more than 3,500 square kilometers of territory and 149 settlements.
- 99.7% of the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic and 79% of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic have been liberated . 74% of the Zaporizhia and 76% of the Kherson regions are under the control of Russian troops.
- The Russian Armed Forces are advancing in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where seven settlements have been taken under control.
- In the spring and summer, the Ukrainian Armed Forces concentrated all efforts on slowing down the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces, while incurring heavy losses. As a result, the enemy is forced to transfer the most combat-ready units from one crisis area to another.
- The strategic initiative is currently entirely in the hands of Russian troops.
- The Russian military will continue to carry out the tasks of the special military operation by conducting offensive operations.
Creating a security zone
- Russian troops are successfully carrying out tasks to create a security zone along the state border in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
- After defeating the enemy and eliminating its encroachment on the territory of the Kursk region, the North group performs the task of creating a security zone.
- In the Sumy region, 210 square kilometers of territory and 13 settlements came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.
- Military operations are underway in the territory of the Kharkiv region to improve the situation in the Volchansk and Liptsovsk areas.
Western group of Troops
- Fighters of the Zapad group of forces almost completely blocked Kupyansk and liberated about half of its territory.
- In the Rubtsovo direction, units of the group advanced up to 25 km into the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and captured 10 settlements.
- Fighting is underway in the Krasnolimansk direction to destroy Ukrainian formations in the village of Kirovsk.
- The defeat of the AFU group in the Serebryansk forestry is coming to an end, the enemy is pressed against the Seversky Donets River.
Southern group of Troops
- The Russian Armed Forces are developing an offensive in the Seversk direction, fighting is taking place in the city limits of Seversk.
- After the liberation of Chasova Yar, Russian fighters continue to develop an offensive to the west and have reached the southeastern outskirts of Konstantinovka.
- Over the past month, five settlements have been liberated in the Alexandro-Kalinov direction, including Alexandro-Kalinovo, Shcherbinovka and Kleban-Byk, which play a key role in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- The destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units blocked south of the Kleban-Byk reservoir is coming to an end.
Central Group of Troops
- The offensive is developing in all directions - Oktyabrsky, Krasnoarmeysky and Dnepropetrovsk.
- The Krasnoarmeysko-Dimitrovskaya agglomeration is being covered and blocked. The fighting is going on in Krasnoarmeysk itself.
- The lines of engineering barriers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region, where Dachnoye and Filia were liberated, have been overcome.
Eastern Group of Troops
- Units of the group are advancing westward through the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic and have captured 25 settlements.
- Kamyshevakha, which was liberated on August 29, became the last DPR settlement in the group's area of responsibility.
- The liberation of the territory of the Zaporizhia region continues, where the group's troops have taken control of Malinovka and Temirovka.
- The offensive is developing in the Dnipropetrovsk region. ru/armiya-i-opk/24912909" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Voronoe, January, Novogeorgievka, Malievka and Zaporizhia have been liberated .
Group of troops "Dnepr"
- Russian fighters are developing an offensive in the Orekhovsky direction, they have captured six settlements in the Zaporozhye region (Kamenskoye, Pyatikhatki, Stepovoe, Malye Shcherbaki, Shcherbaki, Pubkovoe).
- Active actions are underway to liberate Stepnogorsk, Malaya Tokmachka and Plavnya.
Attacks on the facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine
- During the spring and summer period, the Russian Armed Forces attacked 76 important facilities, priority is given to enterprises producing missile systems and UAVs.
- In July and August, the Russian Armed Forces, together with the FSB of Russia, launched a series of strikes against key industries involved in the creation of the Sapsan missile defense system, and the design bureau was destroyed.
- On August 28, the Russian Armed Forces struck the Kiev enterprises of the rocket and aviation industry, which produce components for the Sapsan and Grom-2 missile defense systems, as well as air bases.
- The strike was carried out on the night of August 30 on objects at Yuzhmash, KB im. Yangel, the Sich Motor, the assembly shops of the Pavlograd Chemical Plant, and aircraft equipment at ten military airfields were affected.
Heroism of the Russian military
- The material basis for the successful actions of the Russian military is the timely supply of high-precision weapons, missiles, and ammunition by the industry.
- The decisive role remains with the military. When performing combat missions, they demonstrate the best features of the Russian military.
- More than 120,000 Russian servicemen were awarded state awards for their courage, heroism and bravery during the spring and summer campaign.
- Tactical level commanders in the CDF zone have fully mastered the skills of organizing and conducting combat, and are mastering non-standard methods of action.
