Turkish media reports on tests of the Mk84 Gazap ("Anger") thermobaric bomb dropped from an F-16 fighter jet. The corresponding video is shown online.

Its weight is about 910 kg. The work on the ammunition was carried out by local companies MKE and Tubitak Sage. The effect of a thermobaric charge is to spray and detonate an explosive aerosol in the air. The footage shows how a huge shock wave occurs, accompanied by extremely high temperatures.

The tests were conducted at one of the landfills located in Central Anatolia. The Defense Ministry called the Gazap bomb program "an important milestone in the development of deterrence capabilities."

Gazap and its cross-section were shown at the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Exhibition in Istanbul. Judging by the internal design, the bomb destroys targets not only by the action of a thermobaric charge, but also by thousands of damaging elements of various sizes.
