At the IDEF 2025 exhibition, held in Istanbul, the Turkish company Aselsan presented one of its latest developments in the field of short–range air defense, the KORKUT 130/25 SB small-size drone control system.
The system is based on a 25-mm cannon firing high-explosive shells with programmable detonation, called ATOM. They explode near the target using an electronic fuse and a programming unit, creating a cloud of submunitions, which increases the likelihood of neutralizing even very small UAVs.
This technology makes it possible to cope with high-speed and maneuverable drones with a low radar signature. Allegedly, the effective range of fire exceeds 1,000 meters. The system is suitable for protecting bases, military columns or positions on the front line.

The complex can be installed on various mobile platforms and work even on the move. The system is equipped with a high-precision electro-optical system that allows you to identify and automatically track threats. In combination with a fire control unit based on advanced algorithms, the system has a high degree of autonomy, which reduces the burden on the operator and increases the speed of response.
The 7.62mm machine gun provides the ability to defeat both air and ground targets.
