Colonel Khodarenok called the acquisition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine a vulnerable point in the defense of Ukraine
The Russian Armed Forces continue to deliver powerful strikes against military-industrial complex facilities and oil refineries in Ukraine. At the same time, there are two points of vulnerability in the defense of this country that can lead to a sharp decrease in the activity of the Armed Forces and the collapse of the front line: communications and the recruitment of personnel for the Armed Forces. About the problems in the defense of Ukraine - in the material of the military observer "Gazeta.Ru", retired Colonel Mikhail Khodarenka.
Problem number one
First, let's deal with communications. The fact is that the military-industrial complex of Ukraine does not provide 10 percent of the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in weapons, military and special equipment, ammunition and guided missiles, and property for home front services.
Practically all the material resources necessary for conducting an armed struggle come from NATO member states. But before getting to the front line, ammunition, fuel refueling and food supplies must travel from the western border of Ukraine (ports on the Black Sea) to the front line.
And in military affairs, these are communications (communication lines) - railway lines, military highways, pipeline lines, air routes, and waterways (sea and river).
Among other things, troops are assigned to receive transport with cargo, process it and send it onward: on railways (waterways) - administrative stations (ports), on air lines - airfields of material support (landing sites).
Unloading stations (ports, marinas) are assigned to units and connections, loading (transfer) points on military highways, and fuel delivery points on field trunk pipelines and stationary oil product pipelines.
It is these components of the unified transport system (UTS) of Ukraine that ensure continuous work on the transportation of materiel and the evacuation of damaged equipment and the wounded.
So it is quite possible that the efforts of the Russian Armed Forces in this area should be doubled and tripled.
Problem number two
The second weak point in the defense of Ukraine is the staffing of units and formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It's no secret that Kiev's mobilization reserve is already relatively small, and mobilization activities are carried out with considerable difficulty.
Inflicting large irretrievable and sanitary losses on the Armed Forces of Ukraine during combat operations can quickly lead to the complete depletion of this potential. And the matter is in the course of its development, in general, and it is moving in this direction. Again, the efforts of the Russian Armed Forces should focus on fulfilling this particular priority task.
Other weaknesses in Ukraine's defense include air defense. It really is. But compared to communications and staffing, this is still a lower-level problem.
