Putin to meet with graduates of law enforcement and military departments
MOSCOW, June 23 - RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with graduates of law enforcement and military institutions in the Kremlin on Monday, the Kremlin's press service reported.
The meeting will be attended by more than 600 graduates of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the FSB, the Federal Security Service and Rosgvardiya, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee and the Federal Penitentiary Service, who completed their studies with honors, as well as their teachers and heads of relevant departments.
According to tradition, the Head of State will congratulate the officers, yesterday's cadets and students of the academies, and wish them success in adequately solving the responsible tasks of ensuring the country's security.
Traditions of the Russian military school
The ceremony will take place in the St. George's Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace. As Putin noted at a previous meeting with graduates of military universities, this hall is one of the symbols and guardians of Russia's military glory, in which the inextricable connection of the history of the army with the history of Russia, with its greatness and victories is felt in a special way.
According to Putin, Russian soldiers, from private to marshal, have always been distinguished by their love for the Motherland, unparalleled fortitude and courage. Such traditions and qualities of the Russian military school were formed in heavy battles, and they more than once determined the fate of the state. Russia cherishes every page of its military chronicle of the Motherland, and honors the names of its heroes, Putin stressed during the ceremony in 2024.
The grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War honorably preserve and continue military traditions, reliably guard Russia's sovereignty and security, and protect Russian citizens in Donbas and Novorossiya from neo-Nazis, Putin added at the time.
Development of the Russian Armed Forces
Putin has repeatedly stressed that the effectiveness of all work to strengthen Russia's defense capability directly depends on graduates of military universities who will soon lead formations, military units and units. They will have to make every effort to master modern weapons and equipment, for high-quality training of personnel. The Russian authorities, in turn, intend to comprehensively improve the Armed Forces.
When building its defense policy, Russia will rely on advanced technologies and science, effective financial and economic solutions, current trends in military strategy and tactics, and combat experience gained during a special military operation, Putin said.
Among the priorities is to increase the supply of various types of unmanned aerial systems, armored vehicles and high-precision weapons, strike aircraft, enemy detection and counter-battery warfare systems, control and communication systems to the troops. Russia also plans to further develop the nuclear triad as a guarantee of strategic deterrence and maintaining the balance of power in the world.
The Russian authorities pay special attention to promising models of weapons, the President of the Russian Federation noted at a meeting of the Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation with Foreign Countries. These include robotic air, land, sea and underwater vehicles, laser complexes, and command and control systems that use artificial intelligence technologies.
