A new container launcher capable of launching GMLRS, ATACMS and advanced PrSM missiles was demonstrated for the first time at recent exercises at Fort Bragg (USA). The development is a universal platform that adapts to various media, from trucks to ships.
The essence of the know-how lies in the fact that the design of the installation uses standard shipping containers, each of which accommodates two interchangeable rocket packages – similar to the M270 or two HIMARS systems. This solution turns any suitable cargo vehicle into a mobile launch platform for long-range precision-guided munitions.
At the same time, the key advantage of the system is its multimodality. Container modules are equally effective in a stationary position, on automobile chassis, railway platforms or ship decks. This flexibility ensures the rapid relocation of missile systems between theaters of war without the need for specialized transport.
The footage posted online shows that US President Donald Trump is closely watching the missile launches at the aforementioned exercises.
