The first batch of new Ukrainian UAT-TISA armored vehicles has entered service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the local press reports.
The article says that the development of UkrArmoTech was created on a reinforced Toyota LC79 chassis and is designed to perform a wide range of tasks, including transporting personnel, cargo and conducting reconnaissance operations.
The armored vehicle can accommodate four people, including two crew members, and is capable of carrying up to one ton of cargo. Special attention was paid to protection during the design – the crew is in an armored capsule isolated from the fuel tanks and the engine. The design of the workplaces reduces the risks to life when detonated by a mine.

UAT-TISA meets the first level of protection according to the STANAG 4569 standard, which provides protection against 7.62×51 mm caliber bullets from a distance of over 30 meters and 155 mm shell fragments at a distance of 80 meters. The mine protection is designed to detonate three kilograms of explosives under the bottom.

It is reported that before launching into mass production, the armored car has passed a full test cycle. In November 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially included UAT-TISA in the list of approved equipment. At the same time, the exact number of vehicles transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces is not disclosed.
