The military checked the reliability of the air defense system of the capital and the Moscow region

On Tuesday, September 21, the air defense units covering the capital's sky were put on alert. Although the alarm was a training signal, the soldiers and officers had to act without discounts on conventions. If an enemy missile or an intruder aircraft had happened to fly up to Moscow at that time, they would not have had a chance to evade defeat.

The press service of the Western Military District reported that the calculations of the S-300V anti-aircraft missile systems of the separate air defense brigade of the ZVO during the exercise at the Golvenki training ground repelled an air attack on strategically important objects of the capital and the Moscow region. "The crews worked out actions to launch missiles 150 km before approaching strategically important objects in Moscow and the Moscow region," the district headquarters said.

It is known that various types of aircraft were used as training purposes. In addition, the calculations were trained in the destruction of ballistic missiles of a conditional enemy.

Recall that a layered air and missile defense system has been created around the capital. Its high reliability, among other things, is guaranteed by several regiments of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system. According to experts, today it is the most effective means of destroying strategic and tactical aircraft and ballistic missiles in the world. "Chetyrehsotki", in turn, cover the anti-aircraft missile and gun complexes "Pantsir-S"from strikes.

Modern S-300V long-range anti-aircraft missile systems are a highly effective mobile air defense system. Now the troops are actively equipping this complex in the B4 modification.

I must say that a few years ago, when the S-300V4 had just begun to enter service with the Russian army, experts regarded this as a real breakthrough in re-equipping military air defense systems with modern defense systems against any type of air attack. Indeed, in comparison with the anti-aircraft missile systems of the previous generation, this system has an expanded area covered by two to three times from air strikes and an increased range of the border of the zone of destruction of air targets. The characteristics inherent in the S-300V4, among other things, provide guaranteed interception of the warheads of medium-range ballistic missiles.

This system can hit not only all types of aerodynamic targets - planes, helicopters, drones, but also tactical missiles. Shorter-and medium-range missiles launched even from a distance of 2500 kilometers are immediately taken for tracking, their data is entered into the combat information and control system.

And from a range of 400 kilometers, only one S-300V4 system is capable of simultaneously firing and guaranteed to hit 24 aerodynamic targets, including inconspicuous objects, including invisible planes, or 16 ballistic missiles flying at speeds up to 4500 meters per second. Their destruction is possible at high altitudes-up to 37 kilometers.

А случись подлетать ракете в другое время, когда не обьявлена тревога, её шансы значительно больше?
